Overview: Dates:
We hope to attract
biologists, mathematicians, engineers, and computer
scientists to share ideas about mathematical and
algorithmic models of social insect behavior. The
objective is a cross-flow of ideas: 1) How can
mathematical and algorithmic models of insect behavior
inspire solutions to problems in computing, planning, and
logistics? and 2) How can methodologies and techniques
from computing and engineering be applied to the problem
of understanding social insect behavior.
This event is a follow on to
the highly successful workshop at Cambridge organized by David Sumpter in
December 2001.
| This workshop is supported in part by a grant from the National Science Foundation's Digital Society and Technologies program. |
