Proceedings

We hope to attract biologists, mathematicians, engineers, and computer scientists to share ideas about mathematical and algorithmic models of social insect behavior. The objective is a cross-flow of ideas: 1) How can mathematical and algorithmic models of insect behavior inspire solutions to problems in computing, planning, and logistics? and 2) How can methodologies and techniques from computing and engineering be applied to the problem of understanding social insect behavior. This event is a follow on to the highly successful workshop at Cambridge organized by David Sumpter in December 2001.

Dates:

• June 15 : extended abstracts due
• August 15: we notify you of our decision: talk, poster only, rejection etc.
• October 15 : for those invited to present talks, camera ready papers are due. These are for the conference proceedings [not journal, see submission page]. For those invited to present a poster only, we will also require an abstract that is only 1 page (if it isn't aready). These too are for the proceedings.
• December 15-17: we select the best papers to potentially appear in Adapt. Behav. They will be fully peer reviewed and revisions will be required promptly.
